Principal Investments (“PI”) was established in 2011 and has a global mandate to develop a portfolio of Private Equity type asset investments and company shareholdings. Although PI’s primary focus is on achieving meaningful returns on the capital deployed, it seeks investments that are complementary to RWE Supply & Trading’s commodity trading activities. The team is open to working with suitable co-investors on transactions, and has done so successfully on multiple previous investments.
